TV Shows, and Randomness

Published by AnksConsulting LLC under blog

You know what TV show I miss, Pinky and the Brain… It was one of those great cartoons that I used to watch as a kid, and it never comes on anymore. Looking quickly at Amazon, they have some on sale, but its not like they have the entire series for me. Meh, oh well, lets see if anyone has them online somewhere

Since, I’m bored, the rest of this post will be even more random than usual, if you want me to expand on one of these ideas, let me know and I will.

1) Why does 1+1 not always equal 2? If you do something, you should get the predicted outcome from it, right? But, based on experience, it doesn’t always happen.

2) “There are other worlds than these.” Great quote, keep it mind, no matter what happens, there are other opportunities out there, and sometimes you just have to let go, and believe that something better will come out of it. So, based on this, it is over before it even could begin.

3) Back the blond question that I had been asking people before. After speaking to a rather drunk brother, here is something to think about. Game theory only works when everyone knowing that they all won’t get the best outcome, go for the less desirable outcome, but an outcome that everyone can achieve. That is the only way everyone wins. If one person goes for the best, and gets it, then everyone else looses, because they didn’t get the best outcome, they got the second best. So, based on this, no one should go after the blond at any point.

4) I’m becoming too theoretical… too much talking in letters, numbers, and possibilities… But, its fun, so I will probably continue doing it.

5) I’ve got way too many Indian songs on my playlist now, but some of the lyrics are hilarious. Speaking of lyrics, here is one (I love how funny it is)
I looked at you, you looked at me
aur hogayi mushkil
and you became my destiny tuhi meri manzil
dus bahane karke legaye dil legaye dil
dus bahane karke legaye dil

6) If you haven’t seen Arrested Development, find a way to watch this show. It is hilarious, I just got through the first season, and it is one of the funniest shows that I have seen in a while. I just hope the second season is just as good.

And thus, I bid you all good night.

Validated!

So, since January I’ve been tell people about a company called JAMDAT Mobile. They make games for cell phones, like Bowling, and BeJeweled. The company made a huge annoucement today: EA, the largest video game publisher will buy them out for $27 a share.

In January the company was trading at about $20.

The only downside… I was planning on using JAMDAT as a back up presentation for IAG, now I’ve got to find another company. Also, my 15 page research report is useless as well. Dang it.

Interesting…

Something interesting:

I walk back to my dorm at about 8pm, and I see six cop cars surrounding my dorm building; they have roped off the area and aren’t letting anyone cross the street and get into the building. The reason why: a “suspicious package” was found in a room on the first floor. Eventually they let us back in, but never told us what happened with it. Perhaps I’ll go talk to the security guard and find out.

Another Mindless Post

Sometimes I think that I’m too theoretical for my own good… I don’t know why, but its fun talking about possibilities and what could potentially happen if something else happens. And then you assign letters to different inputs and outputs and you can say things like, A is easy to take care off, its just a wall and we all gotta get over walls, right? The real problem is D… We really need to take care of D before anything else could possibly happen. B and C are perhaps the simplest things to take care off, in fact if Person Z has any sense, then they should take care of it themselves by talking to Person G.

I really don’t know why I typed that whole thing , and i’m sorry if you actually read all of it.

Hmm, something that I should think about for myself: Should the experiment begin once again next semester?

NY Philharmonic

So, Kwee12 requested that I elaborate on my last post. I will do so, at a later point, when I can correctly abstract all the events.

It snowed last night which was pretty cool. I had forgotten how pretty it looks when you have snow coming down and its pitch black outside, looks really pretty. I would put up a picture, but it really didn’t accumulate all the much, so its not much to look at.

Yesterday night was a lot of fun, Scholars took a bunch of us to see the New York Philharmonic at the Lincoln Center. We heard Bartok’s Romanian Folk Dances, Henri Dutilleux’s L’arbre des songes, and Rachmaninoff’s Symphony no 2. It was a lot of fun, and the music was amazing, all except the second one, that is. Some of the people there called it screeching music with some rumbling. The last piece was by far the best.

Hmm, so I think that’s all for now, I should get back to working on my papers, and studying for my finals…
