What a wonderful action movie; finally a solid action movie with nothing else to distract you. I enjoyed the movie from start to finish. It was slightly disappointing it was rated PG-13 instead of R like the other movies, but I’m sure there will be an unrated DVD version at some point. At first the generational difference between McClane and Farrell seems a little overdone. However, once the movie gets going, it works fine because McClane doesn’t care about it, he just wants to hurt/kill people that are in his way.
The best thing is that this movie stands on its own two feet. There are nothing that really links it to the previous Die Hard movies, so even if you haven’t seen them before, you can still enjoy this one.
What this movie, it is wonderful; one of the best movies out so far this summer. Yippie Kay Aye…

I spent all day yesterday at Six Flag Great Adventure in New Jersey. And by all day, I mean all day; we got there at 9:30am when they were opening the gates, and left the park at 10pm, 12 and a half hours riding roller coasters. So much fun!
We got the Gold Flash Pass and were able to go on all of the rides, without waiting very long for any of them. The most we had to wait was 20 minutes to ride on El Toro. My favorite rides of day (no real order here): Nitro, El Toro, Kingda Ka, and Batman and Robin the Chiller. Superman Ultimate Flight gets an honorable mention because you get to fly in it. I managed to go on Nitro three times, that first drop is addictively fun. Through all of the rides, I was laughing quite funny actually, everyone else is screaming and I’m sitting there laughing
I want to back again and go on all the rides all day long again.
But it was a wonderful way to end the summer, I’ve got one week left before I start work now. So much fun though.

Ahh, a summer movie, action, mindless, CGI, and hot girls. This incarnation of Fantastic Four is better than the first one, but that is not hard to do. Not quite a good movie level, but getting there.
The good stuff: the CGI is wonderful, especially when it comes to the Sliver Surfer. The CGI on the board looks awesome, and they pull off the whole effect really well. The overall action and pace of the movie is right on, with the length perfect for a summer flick.
Beyond this, the acting is decent; there are some scenes that are awkward and don’t flow well. Individually, the various actors have done some good work, but together, this is not one of their better works.
Overall, if you want a nice summer action flick to pass the time, this is the movie for you. Personally, I would wait for some of the better movies coming out soon, but if you need to go to the movies, go ahead and watch it.

Ocean’s 13 is a much, much better movie than Ocean’s 12. While it is not at the same level as the first one, it is a marked improvement over the second one. Compared to the other sequels out so far this summer, Spiderman and Pirates, Oceans is the best of the lot.
The steal this time around is to bankrupt Willy Bank’s new casino on opening night. As a side note, Al Pacino plays a wonderful Banks. The crew manages to rig slots, craps, blackjack and roulette all in the favor of the players. They don’t care how much they win, as long as the casino losses, big.
One of the better movies out so far this summer, definitely watch it if you enjoyed the first one, and see it even if you haven’t seen the first one yet.
