AT&T Cell phone problems

Published by AnksConsulting LLC under blog

AT&T is apparently having problems in New York. Many, if not most
people are not able to get incoming or make outgoing calls with their
cell phones. I spoke with customer service, and they are aware of the
problem and are working on it. They’ve got no estimate, but based on
the severity of the problem, they should be able to get it fixed in 24
hours. Till then, my phone isn’t working; text-messaging seems to be
working fine at the moment.

Whitewater Rafting

Published by AnksConsulting LLC under blog

This past Sunday, I along with 11 other people went whitewater rafting
in Penn; we were in two rafts of six people each. The river had Class
Three rapids, and this was the first time I had gone rafting. So, it
was a lot of fun for everyone involved. We spent about 5 hours going
down the river. Luckily we weren’t thrown out of the raft, although it
did almost happen a couple times. Overall, it was a great time; we all
enjoyed it, and we are planning another trip for next summer. Hopefully
when it is warmer so we don’t need the wet suits.

Lost

Published by AnksConsulting LLC under blog

People have recommended to Lost to my on multiple occasions; but I
never watched it for a variety of reasons. Over this summer, I finally
decided to try it out and see if I liked it. As a result, for the last
month or so, I’ve been watching the first three seasons of Lost. After
finishing the final episode of the third season last night, I’ve got to
say Lost is one of the better shows out there. The character
development, the plot lines, the camera angles and such all work
together to make an excellent show.

I’m disappointed that I have to wait till February for it to
continue, since I’ve been watching the DVDs I haven’t needed to take
any breaks with it yet. For most of the show, my favorite character has
been Locke, but he’s become more fanatical and almost deranged at
times. As a result, Desmond and Charlie have taken the top spot as a
result of the whole time traveling/seeing the future thing from
Desmond, and then Charlie’s scarfic at the end of the third season to
shut down the Looking Glass station. Also, his song: “You All
Everybody,” is pretty cool, and gets stuck in your head really fast.

So, until the next season of Lost begins, I can try to figure out
why Jack is so upset/depressed in the flash forward at the end of
season 3.

Book Help

Published by AnksConsulting LLC under blog

I need some help; I read this book like 5 years ago, and now I
can’t remember the name of it. Any suggestions or ideas would be great!

It is a science-fiction novel taking place in the future;
inter-galactic space travel is possible through the use of some sort of
time wormhole/tunnel thing. If I remember it correctly, you travel to
the halfway point, go through this wormhole, and then travel the rest
of the way and you end up arriving right after you left. The story
revolves around one the ships that protects the one-way travel in this
wormholes. The ship gets stuck on the wrong side when they are forced
to close the wormhole. As a result, they are trapped further in the
future. Something similiar happens again, and as the book progresses,
we learn someone was doing all this so the Captain could end up further
in the future to do something.

I know this is very vague, but any help would great.

iPhone unlocked - Free!

Published by AnksConsulting LLC under blog

From the iPhone Dev Wiki team, the iPhone has been unlocked for free.
No longer are iPhone users tied to the AT&T network, and no longer
are they forced to go iPhoneSimFree to pay for the unlock. Hopefully,
they will soon package the application into a nice GUI.
