As I’ve mentioned before, I’ve started looking for a new place to live. This Saturday I went to another open house. I visted a new developement, gut renovation of a warehouse in Jersey City. Because this was originally a warehouse, each floor has 14 foot ceilings, with 11 foot windows; this makes each condo look bigger and the views out of the windows are impressive. Further, the price, including common charges and taxes, is well within my range for the area that I would be getting.
The problem with the place is once again the layout. The bedroom was nicely sized, you could easily fit more than just a bed in there. But as a result, the living room area was too narrow; it would be hard to fit a lot of stuff in there. There wasn’t enough space for my bar. But beyond that, since the walls have metal studs and not wood, it would be really hard to mount a flat screen tv on the wall. Thus, I would need a stand for the TV and with a couch, there would be very little space left.
It was worth getting another visit in. I know that the layout is going to mean a lot me, more than just the numbers. So, time to head back to the websites and find something else.

I realized I had some posts on my Xanga that weren’t mirrored to this blog. So, I’m going through all of these old posts and transfering them over here. None of the comments will be transfered, but the content will be here. The really old posts from my livejournal aren’t going to make the transistion. I don’t think they exist anymore anywhere…

This blog is now compatible with iPhones and itouches. If you browse to the blog with either, you’ll see the below. I just need to tweak it to add in my Yahoo! Publisher ads.

I bought the 3G iPhone a couple of weeks ago when I was released, and I thought I’d post a quick update about it. I’m loving it so far, it is great. The applications are awesome, and what’s more I’ve managed to jailbreak it. So I have access to both the Apple App Store and Cydia. =)

For Labor Day Weekend this year I’m going to be in Chicago. I was looking for flight prices to get out there and the cheapest I was finding (for the times I needed) came out to about $430. A tad on the expensive side, at least for me. So I checked out Amtrak prices, and here the prices cames out to $182. By spending far more time on the train, about 19 hr each way, I’m saving close to $300. Since I have free time both going and coming back, I’ve decided to take the train. Experience the Amtrak for the first time. I’m going to be taking the Lake Shore Limited, which is supposed to be a very senic trip as it goes along the Hudson River, Erie Cannal, and the Great Lakes. It should be fun… If I get too bored, you might see a lot of posts as I keep updating the blog…
