Thirteen Reasons why I am doing Relay for LifeRelay For Life is an overnight event that brings our community together to help support the American Cancer Society and its lifesaving mission to eliminate cancer as a major health problem. The Society works hard every day to prevent cancer and save lives by supporting groundbreaking research, affecting public policies that protect us from cancer, and educating people on how to prevent or detect cancer early. The Society helps people with cancer right here in our own community. And our efforts at Relay For Life can help the American Cancer Society to keep working toward a cancer-free future.
- All money raised goes straight to the American Cancer Society
- The ACS needs as much money as possible
- Wonderful charity to support
- People with cancer
- People that have passed away as a result of cancer
- There is a little competition that goes on between all the groups raising money
- Within my group, we have two teams so there is another layer of competition between the two teams
- Relay for Life is an all night event, so it gives me an excuse to pull yet another all-nighter
- All donations are tax-deductible
- Great cause
- The Relay is a national event, and if you want to participate you can set one up in your town if you don’t have it
- This is my last Relay at NYU since I am graduation in May
- I want to help people. I feel that it is good thing to give back to people that are less fortunate

Thirteen Reasons I want it to Snow!
- I want to go sledding with my friends on “the Quad”
- Its been far too cold, and it is depressing when it is this cold without snow
- Snowball fights
- Snowmen
- Hot Chocolate
- Randomly throwing snow at people. this is different than a snowball fight because in a snowball fight you are actively fighting someone. In this case, you just throw snow at a person for the fun of it
- Food delivered to your dorm room…
- The stillness of the world. Even in New York City, when it snows a lot the world just stops… hardly any cars on the streets, and even fewer people walking around the city.
- Looks beautiful as it falls down
- Its been too long since we had a good snow storm
- Listening to music, a cup of hot chocolate on your desk, and a nice book in your hands… wonderful setting
- Great excuse to stay in and not do anything
- Looking out a window on a high floor and seeing the entire world covered in white. You can appricate the true beauty of the world

Thirteen Places I’d like to visit
- California - I was there for a day, and didn’t get a chance to see anything. It would be great if I could go visit west coast since I’ve lived all my life on the East coast.
- Alaska - seems like a cool (haha) place to go and check out
- Europe - I’ve always wanted to backpack around somewhere, and Europe seems like the perfect place. Get a Eurorail pass and go around the whole continent.
- Paris - I know I already said Europe, but I definatly want to visit Paris, get a chance to take in all the sights, and see the wonderful city
- Antarctica - I recently watched Happy Feet
and it would be awesome to see penguins up close
- India - I was born there, but I’ve never seen all the “good” places there. I only saw the Taj Mahal the last time I was there, and I know I’m missing out on a lot of things, so I would love to go and see the rest of the country
- England - I want to see Stonehenge
- Scotland - Just because of Highlander and Braveheart
- Hawaii - ah.. no particular reason
- Ireland - again no particular reason
- China - the biggest country… should check it out sometime…
- Russia - only because they defaulted on their local currency debt…
- Japan - Tokyo seems like an amazing city
