Nintendo Wii
Its my sister in law’s birthday today, so a couple of weeks ago I went and got the Nintendo Wii for her. Getting one was an interesting time, to say the least. I went on a Monday morning to the Nintendo World Store in Rockefeller Center. Monday because I have nothing to do early in the morning, and because I thought there wouldn’t be too many people there waiting in line for one.
Boy was I mistaken. The store opens at 9am, so I got there, in my mind, early at 8am. But there was already a fairly long line there. But that’s not all, Beyonce was doing a concert that morning. And guess what time it ended? That’s right, 9am. Just as the line starts moving into the store, hundreds of Beyonce fans start crowed the door where she will come out from, which incidently happens to be right in the middle of the line. So, we’ve got this line of people that don’t care about Beyonce trying to push their way into the front to keep going into the store. Beyonce fans pushing their way into the front. And police officers trying to keep everyone back.
Finally, everyone gets into the store, and we wait on line. Huge line simply because people used all the confusion to get in front of other people and push people out of the way. Anyway, they have enough for everyone, and I am able to get mine at like 10am… After waiting two hours for it. I guess it was worth waiting in line for it because the Nintendo World Store runs out of them everyday and gets a new shipment everyday.
