Review: Shrek
This is not a review on Shrek the Third, but rather the six year old original movie. For some reason, I had never seen this one, even though I found the second one hilarious. Anyway, here are some thoughts on the first movie, six years after its release…
Shrek is a delightful movie that everyone will enjoy. Its appeal is in part due to the humor and the various other fairy tales woven into the overall story. The humor is the real charm of the movie and it caters to all age groups. In one scene, the Magic Mirror describes Snow White as living “with seven men, but don’t be fooled, she’s not easy.” Whereas, at the start of the movie, Shrek’s farting in the swamp amuses children.
Overall, it is wonderfully funny movie definitely worth watching, again if you’ve already seen it.
